Mudcake Consultancy

For Contractors

Forensic Inspections & Legally Recognised Reports

As a contractor, working within licensing regulations and to Australian Standards is imperative. Even when you think you’ve done everything right, managing clients’ expectations can still result in unresolved issues. When this happens, Mud Cake Consultancy is available to help! We offer contractor support services which includes detailed investigating if your project has been installed and completed according to Australian Standards.

Mud Cake Consultancy also offer contractual advice where your client may have a project dispute that involves another contractor included in your project fee. Our forensic inspections and legally recognised reports can help reduce proportional liability costs where you have subcontracted a portion of your project to another contractor and where their work is not compliant to the building codes.

Licensing Laws & Contractor Consultant

In SA, individual and business contractors must be licensed as building contractors, including subcontractors if they run a business that carries out or organises building work. With over 40 licence sub-categories in outdoor construction alone, many contractors often operate outside of their licensing restrictions or carry no licence.

If you're a contractor with licensing questions, we guarantee that Mud Cake Consulting have your answer.  We offer a premium consulting service for our contractor clients on how to comply with licensing regulations. Mud Cake Consultancy can also help contractors prepare for licence registrations, upgrades and more. We can also offer advice on appropriate insurance and can recommend our associated broker.
